Scandlines puts additional vessel into service on the Karlshamn-Liepaja line

From 13 September 2002, Scandlines Amber Line will be operating the “Gute” as a second ferry vessel on the Karlshamn-Liepaja crossing. This means that Scandlines Amber Line will be able to double departures on this line to six per week in each direction. |

Scandlines AG remains the market leader in Baltic Sea ferry traffic in 2001

The German-Danish ferry company, Scandlines, once again maintained its market leadership in the Baltic Sea ferry sector in 2001 and was also able to extend this position in a number of segments. A total of 19,944,778 passengers, 3,594,629 cars, 86,696 coaches, 877,494 trucks and 117,995 railcars were carried on the 16 lines operated by Scandlines AG. |

Scandlines AG remains on course for growth / new trends on the Øresund in the first half of 2002

Scandlines, the German-Danish ferry shipping group, further maintained its share of the overall Baltic Sea ferry traffic market in the first half of 2002, also proving able to expand its position in a number of segments. In the first six months of this year, a total of 8,769,028 passengers, 1,671,467 cars, 42,068 buses/coaches, 440,174 trucks and 54,603 railcars were carried on Scandlines AG’s 16 routes. |
