Scandlines main schedule for 2006: to Scandinavia and the Baltic States around the clock

The German-Danish shipping company, Scandlines, will continue to take holidaymakers and those travelling on business to the destinations of their choice next year on its 12 ferry routes in the triangle between Germany, Denmark and Sweden, as well as to the Baltic States. The new main schedule for 2006 assists itinerary planning with all the important information concerning all the company’s routes, charges, arrival and departure times, special offers, plus useful tips on getting to the terminals. Products and pictograms in contrasting colours now make the brochure even easier for customers to follow. |

The German-Danish ferry company Scandlines once again maintained its market position in the cargo segment of the Baltic Sea ferry traffic sector in the first half of 2005. Scandlines achieved up to double-digit growth rates in cargo transport between Germany and Sweden, with good growth also evident on the company’s lines between Germany and Denmark. In the sea transport segment to the Baltic States, however, the shift of accompanied cargo traffic to the overland route via Poland continued. |

Scandlines once again reports positive transport results for 2004

The past year 2004 was once again a successful year for traffic development in the Scandlines shipping line’s route network. “The excellent results of 2003 were surpassed once more in all important transport segments”, summed up CFO Uwe Bakosch. “The German-Danish shipping group based in Rostock carried a total of more than 20 million passengers, 4.2 million cars, almost 1 million trucks and trailers, as well as over 85,000 buses/coaches and 110,000 railcars on its routes in the triangle between Germany, Denmark and Sweden, as well as to the Baltic States and Finland.” |
