Scandlines Changing and Cancellation Terms for departures in 2012

Non-Eastern Europe ferry connection (no participation of a group or bus tour):*
The price of the respective tariffs is displayed in the booking dialog after entering all data. Scandlines prices vary according to season, day of travel and tariff type.

Booking is possible up to 14 days before departure.

Transport is accepted on the booked departure.

 

Transport is accepted on the booked departure. The ticket is accepted on all departures on the booked calendar day, if space is available. Price differences to a higher tariff are due immediately (e.g. night departure Rostock -Trelleborg).

Transport is accepted by using on the booked day as well as 1 day prior or 1 day after booked departure. The customer is guaranteed space on the first departure after arrival in harbor.

Transport is only accepted if check-in time in the port is observed on the particular route.

Re-booking is not possible. 

 

Re-booking is possible until 4 hours prior to the booked departure. Price differences to a higher tariff or a more expensive departure are due immediately. Scandlines Service Center will charge a fee of 10,- € for every ferry ticket.

In case of Cancellation until the 15th day prior to the first booked departure the refund is 50% of the ticket price. No refund in a case of later cancellation.*

In case of Cancellation until 5 days prior to the first booked departure the refund is 100% of the ticket price, 1 to 4 days prior to the first departure 50%, date of departure to 3 months after this departure (if the journey wasn't commenced) 20%. No refund in a case of later cancellation.*

In case of Cancellation until 3 months after the booked departure the refund is (if the journey wasn't commenced) 100%. No refund in a case of later cancellation.*

At an early arrival in the port a new ticket must be purchased or client has to use the booked departure.  

At a delayed arrival in the port, the ticket is expired.

At an early arrival in the port before the day of booked departure a re-booking can be done or client has to wait until the booked departure (please notice re-booking rules above).

At an early or delayed arrival in the port, but at the booked day of departure the next departure with free capacity can be used or a re-booking to a Plus Ticket is possible.

At a delayed arrival in the port after the booked day of departure, the ticket is expired.

At an early arrival in the port before one day prior to the day of booked departure a re-booking is necessary.

 

At an arrival in the port, on the booked day of departure as well as 1 day prior or 1 day after, the next departure can be used.

 

At a delayed arrival in the port later than one day after the booked departure,  refund of the ticket is possible according to the existing cancellation rules

For motorcycles, bicycles, persons and East European routes only standard cancellation tariffs are available.
Cancellation fees for the East European routes (no participation of a group or bus tour):*
up to 31 days prior to departure 0%
between 30 and 14 days prior to departure 10%
between 13 and 7 days prior to departure 30%
between 6 and 1 day prior to departure 60%
date of passage and thereafter 80%    

* Every ticket may be cancelled free of charge and with a 100% refund until 24 hours after buying. With any later cancellation a fee of 10,- € (per ticket) is  deducted from the refund amount, according to the refunding-rules for this particular ticket. Amounts below 5,- € will not be refunded. The refund will be transferred to the credit card or account used for the original payment. Refunds in cash at the check-in or at the Service center are not be possible. In case of cancellations, please contact our Service center-Hotline immediately: 01805 - 11 66 99 (6 ct/call from a German landline; German mobile prices maximum 42 ct/min) or via email for an immediate cancellation. Please send your ticket to: Scandlines Deutschland GmbH, Servicecenter, Puttgarden Fährhafen, 23769 Fehmarn. For cancellation via postal service the postal date stamp is taken as binding cancellation date.
The customer has always the right to prove, that Scandlines has suffered a smaller damage, especially in all cases of refunding, cancellation or expiration of tickets, e.g. if the client arrives too late in the port of departure.
